As Project Director, Substation EPC, Julie Vasbinder brings extensive experience in substation and transmission project delivery, preconstruction, and EPC execution. Her career includes leadership and project management roles with UtilityEngineering, Leidos, and Duke Energy, with experience spanning utility infrastructure, new nuclear deployment, and AP1000 technology. During her time with Duke Energy and later Leidos, she led work associated with Duke Energy’s Integrated Volt/VAR Control (IVVC) program, a $400 million portfolio, gaining experience from both the utility and contractor sides of project delivery. Her experience also includes managing a $17 million cybersecurity and communications initiative delivered under budget and ahead of schedule. At SunEnergy1, Vasbinder will lead substation EPC execution across the company’s project portfolio. She holds a Master of Project Management from Penn State University.
